My goodness! Saturday was such an amazing day for Beth & Parks. These two are some of the kindest, most genuine people I’ve ever met! Listening to EVERY. SINGLE. PERSON. give a speech and reiterate the same adjectives over and over again makes something true doesn’t it? Kind. Supportive. Caring. A good cook. A role model. An inspiration. A gentleman. All of these words were spoken of Beth and Parks by their guests and by the end of the night I could see why. Even though this wasn’t the original 75 person wedding they anticipated, I feel as though, somehow, this worked out even better for two intimate and lovable people. Being in a small group of the best people you’ve ever known is sometimes better and that gave their friends and family the opportunity to each stand and make a toast to honor their marriage. I mean, can you image sitting through 75 speeches?
I have to say, Beth has some serious style. Bella Belle shoes, Tory Burch perfume, sunflowers & roses, navy blue accents all made for some great detail shots. Any day I get to photograph a pair of Bella Belles is a good day in my book! Beth’s two “besties” made up her side of the alter. They were so much fun and the three of them bounced off each other so well. Friendships like that are hard to find! We obviously had to do a classic confetti shot and these ladies nailed it!! (I’m seriously still laughing at their expressions, so perfect!)
We had beautiful weather, and what a relief! Rain and wind were in the forecast following a random hurricane in our area last week. The quaint white chapel they were married in was as pretty on the inside as it was on the outside.
Beth was walked down the aisle by her brother, Stan, and at the alter awaited her soon-to-be husband who had his son by his side. Churches with stained glass windows are my favorite kind! Their ceremony was beautiful and at times, even humorous when Beth couldn’t seem to get the ring on Parks’ finger 😉
At dinner, Parks told the story of their first date. July 9, 10 or 11, 2017, I don’t think we will ever know hahah! It was raining and he offered to come rescue Beth from her car with an umbrella. Their night ended with Parks extending his arm to walk Beth to her car, which he continues to do, even on their wedding day. The rest of the story isn’t mine to tell, but at the exit of their reception was a basket of umbrella favors for each guest to take to signify Parks first gentlemen gesture of their relationship. Such a memorable and personable (and useful!) favor! Every last detail of their dinner was perfect, especially the sunflower accented cake!
Beth & Parks, thank you so much for allowing us to capture your wedding day! You both are proof that even if it takes a little longer to find the perfect person, it’s definitely worth the wait. Congratulations!
