Today we celebrate our fourth wedding anniversary! It seems hard to believe it’s already been 4 years, yet at the same time we’ve been together so long, it feels like it should be out 100th. I’ve never really shared our photos with anyone other than family and friends so today I’m blogging our wedding!
Our wedding was baseball themed. I figured the only way to get Mike interested in planning was to make it something that would interest him. (hahaha) We honored my grandparents and Mike’s Dad with our welcome table. I had memorial charms of them on my bouquet and our flowers had sunflowers, my favorite flower. Our ceremony and reception rooms were absolutely gorgeous! Our colors were mint blue and navy and each table was named after an MLB stadium. We had subtle hints of baseball throughout, but I still wanted everything to be elegant. My something old was my Nana’s wedding ring, my something new was a pearl bracelet Mike had bought me. My something borrowed was the pillow the ring bearers held, it was actually used at Mike’s grandparent’s wedding and my something blue were my earrings, garter, and Mike in his navy suit. Mike’s boutineer was made from the leather of a real baseball (thanks etsy!) and his ring has the baseball laces engraved on it. My Aunt and Cousin helped me get ready and what’s not pictured is my 9-year-old cousin and flower girl shoving a deodorant down my sleeve because I forgot to put it on hahaha! (What a morning!)
I look back on the last 4 years and remember how lucky I am. I married my first boyfriend, my high school sweetheart, and the best damn dog dad ever! Happy Anniversary Mike! I hope we can look at these photos tonight and cringe at how awful they are LOL. (Seriously, I wish I could go back and photograph my own wedding. I straighten and edit each one and I don’t leave my finger in the tops of the frames like these bozos did!) That studio was a nightmare but it’s kinda funny to laugh at it now.
