The beginning of January we had the pleasure of shooting Tara & Matt’s wedding in upstate NY. We are native Long Islanders, so it was nice to go back to NY for the weekend.

Tara & Matt got married in a beautiful church in Owego, NY. The morning started off a bit stressful when Tara had to find a new hair and makeup artist last minute, but the day quickly turned around once she slipped into her dress with her Mom and bridesmaids by her side. She decided to do a first look with her Dad which was one of the sweetest moments of the day!

The invitations, programs, place cards and all other stationery was made by Matt himself! I love when couples get creative and decide to make details personal. Around the banquet hall were framed photos from their engagement session and proposal. Each table had photos of Matt & Tara when they were that corresponding age. There were cardinals around the room in memory of Tara’s grandfather and inside her dress at her heart she had a heart sewn in made of her grandfather’s dress shirt.

The cake was surrounded by a decked out cupcake display and a s’mores bar!

As much as they dreamed for a snowy wedding day, the upstate NY weather did not cooperate in their favor. The DJ surprised them with a foam machine to try to give them that “snowy” ending they always wanted.
