Josie and Chase’s wedding at The Estate on the Halifax in Port Orange, Florida, was a beautiful celebration of love! They had a Mediterranean/Mamma Mia inspired theme featuring lemon and olive branch centerpieces, bougainvillea florals, and even featured Santorini tiles on the cake! The bright colors of yellows, blues, pinks, and greens were a vibrant and refreshing choice and the cheerful colors added an extra layer of joy and excitement to the festivities, perfectly complementing their infectious energy and love for life! Every detail was carefully chosen to bring their theme to life. Even the grounds of the venue helped bring everything together.

Josie and Chase’s love story is a true fairy tale. Having met at Disney, where they both currently work, I can’t think of a more magical place to meet the love of your life. They made sure to include little elements of Disney in their day too. Chase had on his Mickey Mouse watch – the same watch he wore when he was a child and that his parents had refurbished! And let’s be real here – Josie looked like a real life Disney Princess in her off the shoulder ballgown on her way to marry her Prince Charming.

The Estate on the Halifax provided a stunning backdrop for the festivities, with its picturesque gardens and unique elements. The venue perfectly complemented their Mediterranean theme, creating a romantic atmosphere and some of the best photo spots Central Florida has to offer. The venue also has a train car that is used for the groom’s getting ready space, which we later found out was once displayed in Iowa where Chase and his family are from! I mean what are the odds?! It was exciting to know there was a small connection to Chase’s home state right there on his wedding day.

During their vows, Chase shared that he had been keeping a list all these years of the things he loves about Josie, or things that he’s noticed or learned about her – like how she doesn’t like diamonds, and her ring size 😉 Chase ultimately proposed with a Sapphire ring, which is Josie’s birthstone (which is the best birthstone if I do say myself! 😉 ) that I had a whole lot of fun photographing earlier in the day.

Josie and Chase included some personal touches in their day too, like a family heirloom brooch on Josie’s bouquet, and a heirloom handkerchief and coin in Chase’s Men’s Warehouse suit pocket. Including their loved ones didn’t stop there – Josie danced with her mother during the reception, followed by Chase dancing with his mother to a song he wrong and recorded himself! His father eventually joined them on the dance floor and left their guests in tears at how precious it was to witness. Chase’s parents also won the anniversary game, which was another special moment during the reception. The night ended on a high with a bubble exit, just in time before it started pouring! (HIGHLY recommend a few bubble guns!!! It made such a difference)

Josie and Chase’s wedding was a beautiful reflection of their love for each other, their passion for traveling, and their shared love for Disney. It was a day filled with laughter, joy, and happy tears, and one that will be remembered by all who were lucky enough to be a part of it.
