Elegant Enchanted Forest Themed Wedding at The Bishop Museum of Science and Nature | Janine & Francisco

Janine & Frankie had the most beautiful wedding day at The Bishop Museum of Science and Nature! We had met 2 weeks prior for their engagement session which made it feel real and exciting knowing in less than 2 weeks we’d see them again for their wedding celebration! We had a great time getting to know them, and their beautiful daughter, Sofia! We learned they are big time Yankee fans (Mike too!) and Frankie proposed at Tropicana Field (hence the baseball photos :)).

The wedding day began with some fun! Janine got ready with her girls at home, popping champagne AND confetti, and decorating Frankie’s home office for him to return to (LOL). While across town, Frankie and the guys were getting their Batman fix before the festivities began. (IYKYK)

In true Frankie fashion, Batman made a subtle yet stylish appearance throughout the day, adding a personal touch. From details to his cufflinks and tie, to the small, blue Batman Janine carried in her dress pocket as her “something blue”, the Dark Knight’s presence was felt, a nod to Frankie’s love for the iconic superhero (and Janine’s love for Frankie). 🙂

Once at the venue, they had some heartfelt moments that set the tone for the celebrations ahead. Frankie shared a tender first look with their one-year-old daughter, Sofia, a moment brimming with emotion as he embraced her in a tight hug. Janine had her own special moment with her father, adding another touching tribute to two very special dads. Janine also paid tribute to her late mother by adding a photo of her to her bouquet. I love when brides include a loved one this way. It makes sure they are close to your heart in every moment of the day.

As the anticipation mounted, Janine and Francisco finally shared their own first look, and boy was it just the sweetest moment of the day! They shared vows to one another that nearly had my team in tears ourselves. You can see firsthand how much these two love each other and how perfect they are for one another.

The ceremony was short and sweet but no less impactful. Even though he just saw his beautiful bride and daughter moments prior, Frankie soaked in the moment and got emotional as both Sofia and Janine walked towards him down the aisle. With a special reading from Janine’s Aunt Peggy, an exchange of rings and I Do’s, Janine and Frankie sealed it with a kiss and called it official! As they made their way back down the aisle, the guests showered them with love and bubbles for the perfect ceremony exit. Guests then made their way to cocktail hour, which was in the museum’s planetarium and it was one of the coolest cocktail hour spots I’ve ever seen!

The wedding ceremony and reception space was gorgeous!! The ceremony started with elegant, enchanted forest decor weaving its way through the outdoor courtyard of the museum. The space was flipped for their evening reception and the abundance of greenery and touches of gold lent an ethereal quality to the space, while twinkling lights and candles cast a magical ambiant glow over the dance floor. Their first order of business was their choreographed first dance (seriously it was impressive!!!), surrounded by their loved ones, it was evident that their love was as timeless as the stars above.

As they had a moment to sit and soak it all in, surrounded by their nearest and dearest, Janine and Frankie were overwhelmed with gratitude and emotion. Their wedding day was a reflection of the love they shared, a day filled with laughter, joy, happy tears, and cherished memories that would last a lifetime. To see all the planning and hard work come to fruition is a feeling like no other!
