Elegant Black & White Wedding at Adams Estate | Carrigan & Chris

Adams Estate holds a special place in my heart, and if you’re in the wedding industry you know why…it’s one of the most beautiful venues we have in Central Florida! Any opportunity I get to photograph here is my favorite, so capturing the beauty of Carrigan and Chris’ wedding day was truly a joyous experience that we have been looking forward to since we met them! Our first interaction was with Carrigan and her lovely mom, Kim. We knew right away we would love this couple, their families, and the vision they had for their wedding. We even adopted a nickname Carrigan’s mom had given Mike, “Mr. Jennifer” and it’s one of our favorite things LOL. It’s even on our website now hahahaha.

After getting into her dress, Carrigan shared a sweet first look with her father, Tim. It was so sweet!! The Adams Estate staircase was the perfect location for this, as it was lined with gorgeous greenery and blooms by the amazing Jennie of Pixies and Petals. It also made for a beautiful location for some bridal portraits of this absolutely gorgeous bride!! (Seriously, how beautiful does Carrigan look?!) Chris also had a special moment with his mother later in the evening when they shared an emotional mother-son dance together.

Carrigan and Chris shared a first look of their own on the side of the Estate house. We were able to get some portraits done and a handful of wedding party photos before Mother Nature had other plans for us.

The day began bathed in joyful sunlight, promising a celebration filled with warmth and glowy light. However, just before the ceremony during portraits, Florida’s nature threw in a surprise twist as raindrops started to fall. (If you look closely at the photos of the ceremony decor, you can see the raindrops!) The nervous anticipation of having to move the ceremony under the tent loomed in the air. Yet, fate smiled upon us, and miraculously, the rain cleared up the very minute the ceremony was scheduled to commence!! We love Adams’ tent, but we all know couples choose Adams Estate for their beautiful outdoor ceremony grounds. It was a serendipitous moment that we were all thrilled about! It may not have been the glowy sun-filled ceremony we had all hoped for, but it was “walking down the aisle” weather and that’s a wedding day blessing if you ask me!

The Adams Estate team, along with the floral team, both known for their unwavering commitment to perfection, seamlessly navigated through the unexpected weather hiccup and were outside drying chairs so guests could enjoy the ceremony in comfort. Their professionalism and dedication ensured that Carrigan and Chris exchanged “I dos” in the ceremony gardens as planned!

One of the highlights of this wedding was the elegant theme chosen by C&C – black and white with touches of vibrant greenery. The wedding party was in all black attire and all the decor was black and white with accents of green. Every single detail played a part, from the stationery to the reception decor. Behind the sweetheart table was a beautiful floral backdrop that held what is one of my personal favorite decor trends – a custom neon light with the last name they now share! The result was an ambiance of sophistication and timeless beauty. The contrast of the monochromatic palette against the pristine white estate house created a visually stunning atmosphere and even more stunning images! 😉 We worked with a wonderful vendor team who all really did their part to make this day as cohesive and gorgeous as C&C had envisioned!

Carrigan and Chris’ wedding at Adams Estate was nothing short of magical. Not even a weather scare could stop the smiles, laughs (and killlllllllller dance moves) of everyone who joyfully witnessed Carrigan and Chris become #foreverRoman!

Congratulations to The Romans! What an absolute honor it has been getting to know you both and being a part of your special day! We are so excited to see your marriage flourish and your family grow this summer!
