Jenny and Juan Pablo had the best day soaking up the tropical vibes and enjoying the company of their closest friends and family…some of which came all the way from Chile! After a few other attempts at having a wedding during a global pandemic, the third and final time finally arrived and went off without a hitch! Third time IS a charm!

Islamorada Ocean Oasis is a gem in the heart of the Florida Keys. A weekly rental that hosts weddings and all your wedding events right in one spot! It’s conveniently RIGHT on the water, with a cute, little beach area that has some of the most amazing views!

If you’ve ever been to the Florida Keys, you know to expect blue skies, beautiful beaches and lots of palm trees… well that’s all still true, except on Saturday, we got some chilly weather and a ton of wind. No one expected Florida to endure 30 degree weather, but that’s what we got. Jenny and Juan Pablo were such troopers as they navigated the unexpected weather. Thankfully, a tent and some heat lamps were all it took to make the party last all night long!

Jenny was one of the most chill brides I’ve ever had. Anytime I asked her a preference she replied with “you’re the pro, I trust you! Thats why we picked you!” Music to my ears!!! Seriously, as photographers, that’s the BEST compliment you can give us, because even though we do this every weekend, we don’t always get that creative freedom! Jenny and Juan Pablo made it so easy though. They were absolute naturals in front of the camera! Jenny giggled anytime I gave her a weird prompt (doesn’t everyone!?), but her authentic joyfulness was all I needed to give them these beautiful images! Juan Pablo wasn’t too bad himself either. he definitely knew how to work the camera during his groom prep too! You’ll just have to see the GQ vibes below!

Their ceremony was just beautiful! Right on the beach facing the ocean, surrounded by so much love. Their ceremony was in both English and Spanish so that everyone felt included, which was so special. They had blankets for everyone due to the unexpected weather, which was such a great idea! We also caught an amazing sunset. First, the sky turned all shades of light blues and then out of nowhere, purples and pinks. Thankfully, they were up for some sunset photos!

During their reception, both Jenny’s father and Juan Pablo’s mother gave speeches, and they both did theirs in both English and Spanish! I heard Jenny’s dad had been practicing and learning Spanish not only for the big day, but also to better communicate with their new family! How sweet is that!!! These two families were just meant to be together, and you can see just how much they care about each other, which isn’t always the case with in-laws!

The power went out a few times during the night because the party was just that good, and the guests were unphased. Nothing was going to keep them from dancing and celebrating Jenny & Juan Pablo! The DJ did such a great job at adapting to the obstacles and kept the party going all night! Overall, everyone was happy, warm and so excited for the newlyweds!
