It’s been a looooong time coming… When the world shut down in March of 2020, Rae & Rodney were in the final stages of their wedding planning for their April 4th wedding. With so much uncertainty in such a quick and abrupt amount of time, they decided to do a small ceremony to make it official, since April 4th was a date of significance to them. They postponed their big celebration until the world got back on its feet. I think it’s safe to say the world still isn’t really on its feet but you know what I mean ๐
A few rescheduled dates later, their day finally came this past weekend. Everything came full circle when they landed on October 3 for the wedding, which is the date Rodney proposed. Even though it’s been a year and a half of craziness, Rae and Rodney FINALLY got their big celebration! A lot of their details still had the original date on it since it was still a significant day to them and the day they *legally* got married!
I feel like I’ve known Rae for so long since it’s been over 2 years now since she booked with us. We bond over puppies and FRIENDS hahaha. I never actually got a chance to meet her even through all that time so when I showed up on the wedding day, she nearly jumped in my arms with the biggest hug ever! It’s moments like this that remind me why I do this because I get to work with some of the most amazing people ever!! Social media is such a great tool, and even though we’ve never met, we were able to stay in contact and it felt like we’ve known each other forever. ๐
Their ceremony was in a cute, white chapel. Rae’s two sons walked her down the aisle. Rae & Rodney, along with their children and grandchildren, watered a plant together to symbolize both their families officially blending together. They read their custom vows to one another and just like that, they were married…again!
Their reception was held at Rockledge Gardens, and we had access to their entire grounds! Their portraits turned out to be some of my all-time favorites too! They had a custom backdrop behind their sweetheart table, which was the 2nd cutest thing, right after their little succulent plant favors. They played the shoe game, cut their beautiful 3 tier cake, and danced the night away. To end the night, they lit a sky lantern which signifies a momentous and joyful occasion and sent it off into the night!
I think it was definitely worth the wait! Thank you so much for having us ๐
Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Greth!!! Enjoy your honeymoon!!
