Sarah & Ben came in from Texas to have their wedding with friends and family in Florida. Heritage Park & Gardens is what seems like a hidden spot in Live Oak, but my goodness is it beautiful! The brick house is a historic building surrounded by beautiful gardens, greenery, stone pillars and a bright white gazebo!
When I tell you Sarah did basically the entire wedding herself, I’m seriously not kidding. With the help of a DOC, family, friends and of course Ben, almost every aspect of the day was DIY. From their invitations to floral decor to the cake, food and more, Sarah planned this day with such meticulous attention to detail and organization. She’s literally me, and I love it! You would never think she had done all these different aspects without professional help either. She made it look easy, and while she is in the wedding industry with their Mobile Cigar Bar and has past cake design experience, I think Sarah’s true calling may be wedding planning lol!
The day included a lot of personal details. Both the cuff links and watch Ben wore were family heirlooms. Sarah had a bouquet charm of her Dad that we incorporated earlier in the day with her details. The groom’s cake was a tribute to their Cigar Bar company. It was so cool! A frosted DOF glass with a cigar over the top of it.
Some of my favorite elements of the day were the exit confetti toss (If you know me, you know I love confetti!), Sarah’s memorial charm of her dad on her bouquet, her gown change and their unique Polaroid seating chart! She had one gown for their ceremony and changed into a more comfortable gown for their reception, and I’m all about comfort, so I absolutely love that she did that so she could enjoy her night! She even wore Rothy’s under her gown, and again, if you know me at all, you know that I love my Rothy’s!!!! We were able to take some portraits before and after the outfit change, which also included a new hair updo!
Sarah & Ben had the best day, even with some rainy weather. The original plan for the ceremony and reception was altered when we got hit with some bad thunderstorms, but the rain cleared up right in time for portraits! It may not have been exactly how they imagined, but they were just so excited to finally be married that it didn’t even matter. They kept just saying how happy they were to see all their family and have them in one spot, like a family reunion. Ben is away from home a lot due to his job, so having him home for a little bit is so special for them! They danced the night away with the help of dueling pianos.
Congratulations to the new Mr. & Mrs.!!! Thank you so much for allowing us to share your special day!
